I'm Francine Beaton, a South African romance author of Pretoria. Technically I'm still a nomad but will shortly relocate back to Pretoria with my Scottish husband. We suffer from empty-nest syndrome as our daughter is currently studying in Melbourne.

Obviously, I love travelling - long trips, short trips, overseas or local, it doesn't matter. I love discovering new places.

Apart from reading and writing about love and Happily Ever After, I also love to paint or take photos of everything that catches my eye. I love rugby so during rugby season, you’ll know where to find me. It will either next to the pitch or in front of the television, following my favourite teams. It’s probably not difficult to figure out why my debut novel, Eye on the Ball, as well as the series, Playing for Glory, has rugby as a theme.
